Your provider will ask about onset, location, severity, associated symptoms, triggers, and frequency. Treatment may include hydration, rest, trigger management, and medication guidance, with testing or referral when needed. Call 911 for a sudden severe headache, new weakness or numbness, confusion, fainting, seizure, stiff neck with fever, vision loss, or a headache after a serious injury.
